Avoid Coffee: Do not drink coffee on the day of your appointment.
Steer Clear of Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Refrain from consuming alcohol and taking blood thinners (like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Advil) for 48 hours prior to your procedure. This helps prevent excessive bleeding and ensures optimal healing results.
Hydration is key: For best results please start hydrating your lips with Vaseline or your favourite lip balm at least one week prior to your lip blush. You can also gently exfoliate the lips the day before your appointment.
Menstrual Cycle Sensitivity: Be aware that you may experience increased sensitivity and discomfort during your menstrual cycle.
Upper Lip Waxing: Do not wax your upper lip or have any cosmetic skin treatments for at least one week prior to your Lip Blush, as this can increase skin sensitivity.
Color and Shape Reference: If you have a specific color or shape in mind, please bring pictures or your favorite lipstick to guide color selection.
Cold Sore Prevention (IMPORTANT): If you’ve ever had a cold sore, obtain a prescription for an antiviral medication (Valtrex) from your doctor or pharmacist. Begin taking it three days before, on the day of, and three days after your appointment. This is also necessary before your six-week touch-up.
Lip Filler Timing: Ensure any lip filler treatments are completed at least four weeks before your lip blush appointment.
